The LG NOVA team was thrilled to invite three of our First 50 startups to join us at the World Economic Forum (WEF)  in Davos, Switzerland where they had the opportunity to showcase their businesses.

During WEF, on May 25, LG NOVA sponsored a climate tech showcase at the Hotel Seehof with the Green Accelerator where Dr. Umut Genc, Managing Director at Eatron Technologies, Cagri Selcuklu, CEO and Co-Founder at Duckt by Acton, and Ain McKendrick, Founder and CEO at Faction, shared the climate solutions their businesses offer. These three startups were later selected to pitch at the Altru Institute's "Best of Davos'' event.

Our "First 50" WEF attendees had this to say about their experience:

“Attending WEF Davos together with LG NOVA team was an eye-opener experience. Not only did we pitch Eatron BMS technology in front of leading sustainability players but we also had the chance to have deep and meaningful discussions with LG NOVA team & partners on further collaboration.”
~ Dr. Umut Genc, Managing Director, Eatron Technologies

“We are proud to be a part of this amazing journey. LG NOVA team has been a great host & organizer through the World Economic Forum, Davos. We are happy to be one of the 3 startups that has been introduced to top-level contacts during the event. An exciting start to our new ecosystem with our fellow cohort.
~ Cagri Selcuklu, CEO and Co-Founder at Duckt by Acton

“LG NOVA was an amazing partner to support promoting Faction’s vision of right-sized driverless mobility in Davos this year.  Additionally, connecting with other LG NOVA portfolio companies in-person at the event was a highlight for generating ideas for future collaborations."
~ Ain McKendrick, Founder and CEO at Faction

Will Barkis, Head of Grand Challenges & Ecosystem   Development, spoke at the Green Accelerator   event: “Our mission at  LG NOVA is to build the   future of LG by partnering with startups and other   innovators to make ‘Life  Good’ for people, their   communities and the planet. We came to Davos to   find partners – capital partners, industry partners,   startup partners – that share that mission and   who can help us build that future.”
